4K sparkle light leak wipes

These are some really cool and useful prism light leak wipes. There are many different versions in this download. As ever, these are not CGI nor a plug in. Rather these were shot in 4K using crystals and glass to defract the light. Ideal to wipe between shots or use as an overlay on top of other footage. Personally I find the 'screen' compositing method to work best, but 'add' can really boost it and work well also.

Kaleidoscope Sweeps - light wipes - free to download

Two clips this time. Same style, just presenting much options and varieties for repeated use in a sequence or timeline. 

I call these kaleidoscope sweeps. They show light wiping across a rotating faceted shiny object to create a sweep of light. Speed it up for a faster composition or dissolve, especially effective if laid over a transitional with the 'screen' or 'add' effect.

Contagion transition clip - free 4K download

A clip you may find useful for some Covid / Corona virus comms videos currently. It is a cloud of blood transition - moves from white to a dark red cloud of blood and then to black. So it can be used as a background to titles. But even better is to use it as a transitions, or as an alpha channel to move between two shots. Kind of illustrates the spread of disease / germs / viruses in a visual manner.

4K Blood pour transition - as Mp4 and MOV

Yes, back after many months with a new clip for editors! Here is a (sadly topical) new video element. It is a cloud of blood transition - moves from white to a dark red cloud of blood and then to black. Can be used as a background to titles, as a transitions, or as an alpha channel to move between two shots. A feel of hammer horror and dracula movies. But could be useful for medical videos and for info about spreading disease.

Free HD light leak - a prism sweep effect - useful for wipes

I found a few old HD clips that I never shared. All my new leaks on here are 4K, but this one I think is very useful one, even if its only 1080p. As with all my clips, it features real natural light and objects, no plug ins, no CGI.

This sparkling prism wipe or sweep has a kind of 'lighthouse' look to it. Very colourful defraction effects too. It can be composited over your footage or be used as an alpha channel to make your footage ghost into view or as a dissolve between shots.

Light leak wipe - in cool hues - 4K - free download

Here is my latest 4K light leak - or actually a set of 6 in one download!! As ever, available for free (and also you can watch it it in 2160p / UHD on YouTube) via Creative Commons, details below.

This new one has a set of six different light leak wipes, all with a cool colour or cyan hue. This makes them great for hi tech or sciencey vibes!

All six are slightly different in style, but max out at pure white allowing for a transition or cut to occur underneath. I include all 6 in one download so that you can use them at different points in your edit without repeating the exact same effect over and over.
